Castiadas, between Costa Rei and Villasimius
San Pietro Marina, the place that gives us its name and hosts Le Spiagge di San Pietro Resort in its wild territory, is one of the villages that form the scattered municipality of Castiadas, a small coastal agglomeration of Southern Sardinia, 60 km from Cagliari, rich in history and famous for being a penal agricultural colony until the 1950s, that today makes it possible to admire a decadent and suggestive past.
This location, the most unspoiled of the Costa Rei, borders with areas rich in olden testimonies, such as the ancient prisons of Castiadas or spectacular natural landscapes like the Scoglio di Peppino, Monti dei Sette Fratelli and the famous beach of Monte Turnu, among the most beautiful in Europe.
In this territory, still wild and not very urbanized, it is possible to find paradise for those who love nature. The sea and the quiet of Sardinia, with its beautiful crystalline colors that allow you to easily see a fauna rich in fish and marine flora, with fascinating shapes and colors in the nearby cliffs that look down over long sandy shores.
