All divers with a license can go diving in small groups, whereas people with less experience will take part to a theoretical course and a 2 hour practical lesson with a dive session accompanied by qualified guides in the most beautiful corners of the marine park.

Along the scenic Flumendosa Valley road you’ll reach the Orroli plateau, home to one of Sardinia’s most impressive Nuragic sites: the Nuraghe Arrubiu. This unique monument is encircled by five defensive walls, each guarded by a tower, making it the largest known nuraghe on the island.

The massive structure is built from reddish basalt blocks, their colour given by lichens that cover the stone. This is the origin of its name “Arrubiu”, which means “red” in the Sardinian language. At the centre, a 14-meter tower rises high — the core of a fortified system that once protected life within these walls, dating back to the 14th century BC.
